If the life force of a patient has ended (yadi kshitayuh), and if he has gone beyond all limits (yadi va paretah), meaning he has already departed for the next world, and if he has reached near death (yadi mrityoh antikam neetah eva), even then, I (tam aharami) can bring him back from the grip of a painful and deadly disease (nirriter upasthat), and (enam asparsham) make him strong and untouched by illness, granting him (shat sharadaya) a life of one hundred years.
Even if a person's vitality is depleted, or they are nearing death, or have gone beyond recovery, the Supreme God can still rescue them from the grip of deadly suffering. He can make them healthy and grant them a life span of up to one hundred years.
