Kabir Sagar is a vast and profound spiritual scripture that contains the divine knowledge (Tatvagyan) revealed by Supreme God Kavir Dev (Saint Kabir). It is considered the ultimate compilation of His teachings, dialogues, and spiritual revelations, providing deep insights into the true nature of God, creation, and the path to liberation (moksha). Unlike other religious texts influenced by Kaal, Kabir Sagar offers pure and unaltered divine wisdom, exposing the limitations of blind rituals and incomplete spiritual practices.
This scripture is composed in various sections and is believed to have been documented by His disciples, particularly Dharamdas, under His direct guidance. It contains detailed conversations between Kabir Sahib and various religious figures, where He corrects misconceptions and reveals the hidden truths of scriptures like the Vedas, Gita, Quran, and Bible.
Kabir Sagar also explains the concept of Satlok (the eternal divine realm), Kaal’s deception, the true way of worship, and the identity of the Tatvadarshi Saint, whom God appoints to spread true knowledge in every era. It serves as a spiritual guidebook for seekers who wish to transcend the cycle of birth and death and attain eternal peace in Satlok by following the correct path of devotion prescribed by Supreme God Kavir Dev.
Request: The sacred Kabir Sagar, as we currently have it, has been revised and refined by Kabir Panthi Swami Yugalanand (Bihari), also known as Bharat Pathik. In the preface to the chapter Anurag Sagar and in a note at the bottom of page 37 of the chapter Gyan Prakash, it is mentioned that "I possess 46 handwritten copies of Anurag Sagar, and there are significant differences among them. None of them match one another exactly. After drawing conclusions from these versions, I am publishing this text as Kabir Sagar." This Kabir Sagar was published on April 1, 1914 (Vaisakh Badi 8, Vikram Samvat 1971).
In the note at the bottom of page 37 of Gyan Prakash, it is stated:
"Each author of these versions, with the intention of glorifying themselves, made alterations to the texts according to their own understanding. As a result, the scriptures of Kabir Panth have been significantly distorted. I (Swami Yugalanand Ji) have worked extensively to revise this Kabir Sagar. The version currently available was printed from the copy owned by Shri Ugranam Sahib, published on April 1, 1914."
This proves that unqualified mahants (leaders) made alterations or inserted their own edits into Kabir Sagar.
The above excerpt demonstrates that unqualified mahants (leaders) made alterations or inserted their own edits into Kabir Sagar. These changes reflect their ignorance and lack of understanding. However, since it is an ocean (Sagar), they were unable to completely eradicate Kabir Ji's knowledge. Much of the truth remains intact throughout the chapters.
The truthfulness of the text is validated by the writings of Saint Garibdas Ji of Chhudani village (District Jhajjar, Haryana). His texts are original and unaltered. To restore the essence of His teachings, God Kabir Himself inspired Saint Garibdas Ji in the same way as Saint Dharamdas Ji, granting him divine vision and true spiritual knowledge. Saint Garibdas Ji bore witness to the divine revelations of God Kabir and Satlok (the Eternal Realm). His divine testimony was documented as Amritvani, which was written down by Dadu Panthi Shri Gopal Das Ji. We possess both the handwritten and printed copies of these texts.
When compared to Kabir Sagar, the knowledge aligns with the teachings of Saint Garibdas Ji. Based on these proofs, I (Rampal Das) have reinterpreted and restored the authenticity of Kabir Sagar. These corrections have been made in accordance with the earlier versions of Kabir Sagar and the aforementioned evidence.
The first chapter of Kabir Sagar is titled Gyan Sagar:
In reality, Kabir Panthis fragmented a single chapter into several and gave them distinct titles based on their own interpretations. The current version of Kabir Sagar contains 40 chapters, including:

The sacred knowledge of Kabir Sagar was originally imparted by God Kabir (Bandichhod) to His beloved disciple, Seth Dharamdas Ji. However, due to the ignorance of counterfeit Kabir Panthi acharyas (teachers), the knowledge was distorted. This is evident in the commentary provided in the preface to Anurag Sagar and the note on page 37 of Gyan Prakash.
This text, Kabir Sagar ka Saralarth, provides the unaltered and simplified knowledge for readers.
The true essence of Kabir Sagar is encapsulated in Dharamdas Bodh, also known as Gyan Prakash. God Kabir imparted true spiritual knowledge to His beloved devotee, Dharamdas Ji. Therefore, Kabir Sagar is fundamentally Dharamdas Bodh, which is extensively elaborated in the chapter Gyan Prakash (sixth chapter).
The sixth chapter, Gyan Prakash, describes the divine play (leela) of God Kabir granting refuge to Seth Dharamdas Ji of Bandhavgarh (Madhya Pradesh, India). This is narrated in poetic verses, including dohas and chaupais, which often go beyond the comprehension of the general public. For this reason, a simplified prose version has been written for modern readers.
